Artist Barbara Rose to stage exhibition in Piara Waters paddock

Jessica NicoComment News

THE picturesque surrounds of Piara Waters will act as an unusual backdrop to a new exhibition from artist Barbara Rose.

Living on 25 acres of rural land with her partner and an array of animal life, Rose was inspired to do her new exhibition slightly differently – by holding it in the middle of a Piara Waters paddock.

She said her style was diverse, with vibrant colour and humour combining to tell a story.

“I love to put humour into my paintings, it keeps me amused from the start of the creating to the final completion,” she said.

“It seemed like a novel idea to have an art exhibition in the middle of a paddock and I think a lot of people will come to my exhibition with their children and families to have a nice day out and feed the animals.

“My artwork is very different from the run of the mill and everyone will hopefully have a fresh outlook on art.”

The Art by Barbara Rose exhibition is at 76 Southampton Drive, Piara Waters from February 2 to 6.

Visitors are welcome to bring carrots to feed the animals.
