A is for Australia: children’s author Frane Lessac to host workshop at Kenwick Library

INTERNATIONALLY renowned children’s author and illustrator Frane Lessac will host two special workshops for children.

The acclaimed writer will appear at the Kenwick Library on Tuesday April 11.

In the first workshop at 9.30am, Lessac will read from her latest book, A is for Australia, before running a picture book session to show children how to make their own.

Afterwards, she will run an illustration workshop for children aged eight to 12, showing children how to turn their story ideas into pictures.

This session starts at 10.45am.

Lessac has won plaudits for her integration of travels and her personal journeys into her books.

A is for Australia was victorious at the 2016 West Australian Young Readers’ Book Awards and was a joint winner at the Crystal Kite Member Choice Awards.
