Addressing arrears issue

The two organisations put on a morning tea with displays about the causes and effects of homelessness, and information on resources and help for homeless people.

Paralegal Shirley Glover said the legal centre provided a range of services that helped south-east corridor families, including a tenancy advice service, and was concerned about local homelessness.

‘The centre regularly has tenants presenting that have fallen into rent arrears and are facing eviction,’ she said.
