The couple and their team mates Bronwyn Moore and Leanne McAndrew have committed to this years MACA Ride to Conquer Cancer, which raises money for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Mrs Goldsmith said she and her husband took part in the ride two years ago to help raise money for a worthy cause.
Its a really good event and the ride is great, she said.
Cancer is a big part of everyones life and it affects so many of us.
Last year Mrs Goldsmith was part of the Ride to Conquer Cancer support crew, but decided to pull together another team for this years event after hearing so many inspiring stories.
She convinced friends, who had barely ridden a bike before, to sign up and now she hopes others will join team Liquorice Allsorts.
Were a diverse group of people thats how we came up with the name.
Its a lot of fun riding as a team. It keeps you motivated and anyone can do it. You ride for about six hours each day, but theres pit stops every 25-30 kilometres, which really breaks it up.
Participants each have to raise $2500 before the can take part in the ride.
Liquorice Allsorts will hold a series of fundraisers in the lead-up to the ride to ensure they have the required funds.
Those interested in donating to the team can visit www.conquercancer.org.au and search for Liquorice Allsorts.
