Armadale: 65-year-old woman violently attacked in her home

POLICE are asking for help to identify a man who attacked a 65-year-old woman in her home in Armadale yesterday afternoon.

The aggravated robbery took place at 5.10pm on Sixth Road, with the man entering through the front door and demanding the woman’s car keys.

When she refused, he punched her to the ground and kicked her repeatedly, stealing her handbag, keys to her car, and then the car itself.

The stolen car was involved in a number of reckless driving incidents during which several vehicles were damaged on Albany Highway near Kelvin Road.

The car was finally abandoned on Albany Highway near Brookton Highway, and the male fled.

The woman was conveyed to Armadale Hospital where she was treated for a serious laceration to her head and extensive bruising.

The vehicle has been seized for forensic purposes.
