Armadale assault: Thornlie man charged over altercation that left another with life threatening head injuries.

ARMADALE detectives have charged a 19-year-old Thornlie man over assaults on two men, one of which left an 18-year-old man with life threatening head injuries.

It will be alleged that about 1.10am on Sunday April 10, the victims were part of a group of males walking along Jull Street in Armadale.

An altercation then occurred between this group and another.

During the altercation, the 18-year old man and 17-year-old boy were assaulted.

The 18-year-old man was knocked to the ground. He received life-threatening head injuries and has since undergone surgery in Royal Perth Hospital.

The 19-year-old man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and grievous bodily harm, and will appear before Armadale Magistrates Court today.
