POLICE would like to speak to this pair, after a woman was punched in the face when she tried to get her handbag back, following a bag snatch incident on the train last month.

Armadale Detectives said the incident took place at the train station along Railway Avenue in Kelmscott on Monday, October 16.

About 1:30pm, the victim was sitting on the train when she was approached by a man and woman who looked like they were leaving the train.

As the doors opened, the woman stole the victim’s handbag and the pair ran from the train, with the victim following them.

The victim has found the pair and tried to get her bag back.

This resulted in a fight in which the victim was punched in the face, causing her minor injuries.

Police released a CCTV image of the man and woman they believe can help them with their investigation.

The man is described as dark skinned, with a medium build, less than 20 years of age with dark short hair, shaven on the sides.

The woman is described as dark skinned, with a thin build and long dark hair.
