Armadale drug bust nets 4kg of cannabis, weapons and cash

ABOUT 4kg of cannabis, $260,000 in cash and weapons were seized by detectives after searching two houses in Armadale yesterday.

Two Armadale men were charged with a string of offences and are appearing in the Armadale Magistrates Court today after detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Tambulan Way.

Police will allege detectives seized about 4kg of cannabis, a firearm, baton, bow and arrow, knife, other controlled weapons and various drug paraphernalia.

A 30-year-old man of Armadale has been charged with sell/supply prohibited drug, ready access to weapons and drugs, possess stolen or unlawfully obtained property, possess drug paraphernalia, possess controlled weapon, two counts of possess prohibited drug and three counts of possess prohibited weapon.

A 34-year-old man of Armadale has been charged with sell/supply prohibited drug, receiving, possess unlicensed firearm and possess unlicensed ammunition.

Later the same day, detectives executed a further search warrant at a home in Herriard Road, Armadale.

It will be alleged detectives located and seized about $260,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

A 47-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman, both of Armadale, will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date on drug offences.
