Armadale: police looking for owner of lost World War I medals

POLICE are looking for the owner of some rare World War I medals found during a search.

About 5.30pm on Friday December 15 last year police were were conducting inquiries on Railway Avenue, Armadale in relation to another matter.

A man’s backpack were searched and three World War I medals were found.

Police are appealing for information from the public in order to reunite the items with their owner.

The medals are a 1914-1915 Star, a British War Medal and the Victory Medal.

Anyone who may have information on the owner or who the medals rightfully belong to, is asked to call Armadale Police Station on 9399 0222.
