Award for retiring City of Gosnells infrastructure director

Ben SmithComment News

THE City of Gosnells’ director of infrastructure has been recognised for outstanding contribution to engineering in public works ahead of his retirement.

Dave Harris was awarded the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia’s (IPWEA) highest honour, the Keith H Wood Medal, for exceptional dedication to the engineering in public works industry over a significant number of years.

Mr Harris said it was a fitting way to end his career and it meant a lot to be recognised.

“I’ve been involved in the industry for over 22 years at executive level, both state and national, so to be recognised at that level by my peers is great,” he said.
