Baby boom keeping maternity staff busy

Thirty babies were safely delivered in one weekend alone in July, with a total of 235 born at the hospital that month.

July 21 was the busiest day with the most babies ever born at the hospital, with 16 welcomed into the world.

To cope, the hospital had to put staff on extra shifts.
