Barbagallo Ballpark plans

Swan MHR Steve Irons said about 45 people attended the Australian Baseball League (ABL) and Perth Heat-hosted tour and presentation about the $20 million proposal.

He said it included a capacity increase, and lighting and toilet facilities upgrade to cater to crowds that had more than doubled since 2010.

‘Perth does not have an international-standard baseball stadium, making this redevelopment an important measure to improve our chances of hosting future national and international events, and potentially boosting our local economy,’ he said.

‘With Barbagallo Ballpark already hosting about 6000 fans per weekend and support for this international sport continuing to increase, it is clear that the redevelopment of this baseball hub should be supported.|’I have been actively working with the ABL to raise awareness of their redevelopment plans in Parliament.’
