Beloved dog stabbed to death

Penny, an eight-year-old, norwegian elkhound, had to be put down after she was stabbed in the head, heart and throat by an unknown offender, while she and two other dogs were in the backyard.

Zac’s partner, Therasa Doolan, was inside cleaning at the time, but was completely unaware the attack had taken place until she checked on the dogs.

‘I went outside and was calling Penny, but I couldn’t find her,’ she said. ‘Then I saw her lying in the corner and blood was coming from her head. I went over to her and she was breathing heavily, then I saw more blood ‘
