THE Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards, Safe City Awards and History and Heritage Awards will all be presented at the City of Gosnells’ annual big breakfast on January 26.
Gosnells residents will have the chance to kick off their Australia Day celebrations at the breakfast at Centennial Pioneer Park from 8am to 11am.
This year’s event will feature bush tucker tastings, indigenous storytelling, mini-golf, giant games and a bouncy castle, as well as an opportunity to have a photo with a koala or enjoy a circus show and workshop by Zap Circus.
Mayor Olwen Searle encouraged residents to join in.
“Under the shady trees along the Canning River, we’ll have plenty of live entertainment, activities for the children and the Gosnells Rotary Club will again be cooking a terrific breakfast – it’s a fantastic way to spend the morning,” she said.
“The awards presentations are also a great way to support those in our community who contribute their time and energy to make the City of Gosnells a great place to live.”
