POLICE have arrested a man and charged him with a string of offences after a short stand-off with Tactical Response Group (TRG) officers early Tuesday morning.

The man was wanted by police over a number of incidents across Perth in April and May.

TRG officers forced entry into a Canning Vale house at 1.15am and, after negotiating with the man for a period of time, he was taken into custody.

He was allegedly in possession of a shotgun and ammunition at the time, but there was no one else in the house when he was there.
