MUNDARDA Child Care Centre in Kelmscott has just been named a ‘Switched on School’ for their environmentally-friendly initiatives.
The recognition came from the City of Armadale, City of Gosnells and Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale’s Switch Your Thinking sustainability program.
The centre has been focusing on reducing waste, energy and water use and using active transport.

READ NOWCity of Armadale Deputy Mayor Ruth Butterfield congratulated the staff and children on their achievement.
“I hope that the recognition will encourage the centre to continue embedding sustainability into their daily routine and set a positive example for other child care centres in the district,” she said.
“The sustainable practices that the young children learn at the centre will be a stepping stone to adopting them into their lives at home and into the future.”
