Child lost in Perth shopping centre found

UPDATE, 8.15pm: POLICE say the missing nine-year-old boy has been found alive and well and arrangements are being made to reunite him with family.

EARLIER: POLICE in Perth are searching for a little boy who went missing in a shopping centre this afternoon.

Jarrad walked away from a family member around 2.30pm this afternoon, at a shopping centre on Murdoch Road in Thornlie.

Jarrad is nine-years-old with brown skin and light brown hair. He was last seen wearing an army green jacket, blue shorts and black/red runners.

Anyone who sights Jarrad is asked to contact police immediately on 13144.

Jarrad may not fully understand what is said to him due to hearing and speech difficulties.
