Concert to raise MS awareness

Mrs Crossman has organised a community fundraising concert for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of WA at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre in Thornlie on Sunday, August 9.

"The idea of a community concert grew from my raised awareness of the challenges of MS when my friend, who has had MS for many years, was diagnosed last year, requiring 24-hour care," she said.

"I also have a neighbour who has MS and I admire his love of gardening and the pleasure his colourful garden gives us all.

"The pleasure music gives to us all will be shared at this concert and is beautifully described by E.Y Harburg (1896-1981) who wrote"words make you think thoughts, music makes you feel a feeling, but a song makes you feel a thought"."
