Conference an inspiration

Peter Newman, Curtin University’s Sustainability professor, aimed to convince his audience of this at the World Environment Day Conference hosted by Serpentine-Jarrahdale Shire last week.

If their reactions were anything to go by, he succeeded.

Professor Newman, keynote speaker at Restoring the Balance: The State of the Environment, said many societies were experiencing rising temperatures and extreme weather events, and facing diminishing water resources and biodiversity.
