The proposal was advertised to the owners of five properties nearby and three submissions were received, two objecting.
The first objection said the smell could devalue properties and the business was inappropriate, a fire risk and would result in too much traffic.
The second objection said the business was inappropriate and would result in too much traffic. A third submission raised no objection.
A City staff report said the home in question had a functioning rangehood exhaust fan, complied with fire rating requirements and there were no anticipated problems with traffic.
It said the homes driveway would be perfectly sufficient for a customer or two to park.
The council approved the proposal.
