ON Sunday, dogs of all shapes and sizes will be welcome at Rushton Park in Kelmscott for the City of Armadale’s Annual Dogs’ Day Out.

The Best Dressed Dog competition will be held at 11am and the Best Dog Trick will be decided from 11.45am.

Free vet advice and the chance to chat to rangers will be on offer from 10am to 2pm. The day is set to include heaps of family fun with a bouncy castle, face-painting and food to buy.

Other attractions include agility and dog displays, obedience demonstrations and grooming and dog washes.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones said dogs over 12 weeks of age must be registered with the local government and be micro-chipped.

“Dogs make wonderful family pets, but with ownership of any animal come responsibilities,” he said.

Cr Zelones encouraged people to renew dog registrations, which expire October 31.

Dogs at Rushton Park must be on a leash at all times.
