Drug bust nets large haul

ORGANISED Crime Squad detectives have seized 13kg of illicit drugs and arrested two people after search warrants were executed in East Perth and Thornlie on Friday.

Organised Crime Squad (OCS) detectives searched a residence in Adelaide Terrace, East Perth and allegedly found methylamphetamine, cannabis and ammunition.

Shortly after, the OCS and the Tactical Response Group searched a home in Hotchkiss Close, Thornlie and allegedly found methylamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis.

A 35-year-old Thornlie man has been charged with possess MDMA with intent to sell or supply, possession of methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply, possession of cocaine with intent to sell or supply, possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply, possess of smoking implements and unlawful possession of cash.

A 21-year-old East Perth man has been charged with possession of MDMA with intent to sell or supply (MDMA), possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlicensed person in possess of ammunition, possession of a controlled weapon and possession of unlawfully obtained cash.

They are due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court this morning.
