A 51-year-old Kelmscott man has recorded a blood-alcohol reading so high it almost broke the breathalyser.
At 10.50 in the morning.
Police stopped a Holden Commodore on Croyden Road, Roleystone last Wednesday.
The driver was barely conscious and the roadside test was too high for the machine.
The front seat of the Commodore was littered with booze.
The man’s initial reading was 0.338 per cent, calculated to be 0.307 per cent grams of alcohol per 100ml of litres of breath.
As a result the man was charged with driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
He is due to appear in the Armadale Magistrates Court on June 25.
