AN elderly woman was injured when a car smashed into her Eudoria Street, Gosnells, home last night.

The incident occurred about 10.15pm last night when an unregistered Holden Commodore sedan was being driven north on Eudoria Street.

The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to mount a kerb, knock down some fencing and hit the wall of the house, causing damage to the house and a pergola.

A woman in her 70’s, who lives at the residence, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.

Her injuries are not believed to be serious.

The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man from Gosnells, failed a preliminary breath test and was taken to Armadale Hospital where he was given a medical check-up and had a blood sample taken as part of the ongoing investigation.
