UPDATE: The cyclist involved in a crash in Champion Lakes this morning has been taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.

A St John Ambulance WA spokesman said the ambulance was heading to the hospital under priority one road conditions.

EARLIER: PARAMEDICS are at the scene of a serious crash involving a car and a cyclist in Champion Lakes.

A St John Ambulance WA spokesman said paramedics were performing CPR on the patient, a man in his 30s, on Lake Road near the intersection of Edinburgh Road.

The patient is believed to be the cyclist.

The call came in at 7.39am.
