MARCH 8 was a big day for Veronica Stark as she celebrated her 100th birthday among family and friends.

The Kelmscott MercyCare Residential Aged Care facility resident enjoyed a reunion lunch with her extended family, who came in from all corners of the state for the special milestone.

Ms Stark was born in Victoria and met Bill, the man who would be her husband, at the age of 14.

After a few years of courting the pair married in 1940 and moved to Kelmscott in 1965, where their family would grow to include 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
