But that is exactly what A Cappella West will do before they travel to Las Vegas to compete in the 2016 Sweet Adelines International in October.
The Perth-based women’s barbershop chorus earned that right after becoming national champions in Hobart last year.
Founder and director Lindsey Dyer said the chorus was expecting the international competition to represent a big step up.
“It is an opportunity to see the ‘big girls’ –- to see the next level of this art form,” she said.

The group is holding fundraisers and applying for grants to cover the cost of the trip.
