TRAIN services on the Armadale line were delayed for around 40 minutes yesterday after somebody threw a bicycle tyre on the roof of a train, sparking a fire.
The incident happened about 6pm at Gosnells station.
A Transperth spokesman said the bicycle tyre “tripped some electrics”, causing the fire.
The incident also affected the train’s electric systems.

No one has been charged over the incident, but the Transperth spokesman said: “We’ll be looking into it.”
