Into the seven seats available, they voted new councillors David Goode, George Scott, Pierre Yang and Peter Griffiths, and re-elected Julie Brown, Olwen Searle and Ron Hoffman.
Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire did slightly better in terms of voter turnout, with 22.5 per cent of those eligible taking part.
Into the five seats available they voted John Erren, John Rossiter and Sandra Hawkins in the north ward and Keith Ellis in the north west ward.
Barry Urban won the southern ward seat unopposed.
The City of Armadale had the best voter turnout at 25.71 per cent.
Chief executive Ray Tame thanked retiring councillor June MacDonald for her contribution and dedication as the City welcomed two new and four returning councillors.
Colin Campbell was elected to represent Palomino and Carole Frost was elected for the Lake ward.
‘There was a tremendous interest in the 2013 election with several wards strongly contested which is a healthy sign for the community,’ Mr Tame said.
Ruth Butterfield (River), Caroline Wielinga (Jarrah), Matthew Norman (Minnawarra), Guenter Best (Neerigen) and Donna Shaw (Heron) were re-elected.
Councillors were expected to be sworn in, and to elect their leaders, at meetings of all three councils last night.
