Free Mosaic workshop at Southern River Community Garden

RESIDENTS will have an opportunity to get creative with a a free mosaics workshop at the Southern River Community Garden on February 26.

The workshop is part of this year’s Homegrown Festival, which runs from February 18 to March 18.

At the mosaic workshop, people will be able to learn the basics of mosaics and get involved in creating colourful artwork to decorate the community garden.

Mosaic artist Dorothy Burke said people could come along and make birds that will go into the garden.

The event will run from 10am-1pm and all ages are invited to join in, but children under 15 must be supervised by an adult.
