The City of Gosnells will hold art workshops for all levels of art experience as part of the Homegrown Festival, which celebrates art and culture in the community.

Experienced mosaic artist Dorothy Burke will hold the free workshop on March 5 at the Southern River Community Garden, Anaconda Drive, Gosnells, from 10am to noon.

Gosnells Mayor Olwen Searle said the Southern River Community Garden was an exciting shared space where community members could come together to grow their own fresh food, learn new skills, relax and meet like-minded people.

“This workshop will not only teach participants a new skill in mosaic art but is a great opportunity for them to develop their creative side and leave their stamp on a wonderful community project,” she said.

This event is free but registrations are essential. Morning tea will be provided. Children under the age of 15 years must be supervised by an adult.

To register, call the community development team on 9397 3123 or email community @gosnells.wa.gov.au.
