After seeing an advert in her local paper for a female painter, she began a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating through The Apprenticeship and Traineeship Company while also attending Polytechnic West.
She won Polytechnic West’s Student of the Year and Apprentice of the Year awards in 2012 and will soon register her own business.
Winners of the 14 categories will be announced at a dinner on September 20 and may represent WA at the Australian Training Awards in November.
