THE City of Gosnells, City of Armadale and Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale council candidates have been finalised ahead of next month’s elections.
Some 31 people have nominated for the seven vacant seats on the Gosnells council and 18 people will contest four vacancies in the North (two vacancies), North West and Southern wards in Serpentine Jarrahdale. Twenty-five people will be running for positions on the Armadale council.
Six councillors will be elected for a four-year term and one will be elected for a two-year term in Gosnells, while all four Serpentine Jarrahdale vacancies carry a four-year term.

READ NOWGosnells Mayor Olwen Searle is up for re-election, as is Deputy Mayor Julie Brown and councillors David Goode and Bill Wiffen.
Armadale’s Deputy Mayor Ruth Butterfield is up for re-election, as is Donna Shaw, Caroline Wielinga and Carole Frost. Colin Campbell has been re-elected unopposed in Palomino ward.
Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale President John Erren will recontest his seat in the North ward, while Cr Sandra Hawkins is also up for re-election.
Voting packs will be delivered to eligible electors between September 27 and October 3.
