A GOSENLLS resident will take on the challenge of walking a bloody long way.
Allannah Sturch will take part in the Bloody Long Walk, a 35km challenge for the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, from Sir James Mitchell Park to Cottesloe Beach.
The mother of four said although it may seem long, her and friend Louinna Hundley can talk all day and the distance shouldn’t be a problem.

“People think that is nuts but I think it’s achievable.”
She said she decided to take on the walk for health and fitness reasons.
“It’s not a marathon or anything stupid but something that is reasonable,” she said.
“If you do a fun run, you can’t really talk to a friend, but you can if you walk a reasonable pace.”
She said the biggest hurdle would be tiredness and fatigue and she would take food on at aid stations as well as pack an extra pair of shoes and socks.
