POLICE are searching for a man who they believe stole a car from a home in Gosnells.

At 10.50am on Tuesday, September 25, police say a man walked up the driveway of a Hartley Street home to where a car was parked with doors unlocked and the key in the ignition.

The car’s owner, who was standing outside, noticed the man get into his car and start the engine.

He ran towards the car but was unable to get to it before it reversed out and drove away.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe can help with their investigation.

He is described as being approximately 30 years old and light skinned with a medium build, short brown hair and unshaven.

He was wearing a hi-viz top with long, dark pants.
