Gosnells woman to face court on drug and gun charges

A 23-YEAR-OLD Gosnells woman will appear in court after allegedly possessing methylamphetamine and a gun in Gosnells.

Regional Operations Group North officers were conducting patrols of the Gosnells area on Tuesday when about 7pm they conducted a traffic stop of a BMW sedan on Dorothy Street in Gosnells.

Police will allege during the search they found and seized less than 1g of methylamphetamine and a loaded .22 calibre pistol.

Police then searched a home on Eudoria Street, Gosnells and discovered a flick knife and a round of .22 calibre ammunition.

The Gosnells woman has been charged with possessing a firearm with circumstances of aggravation, having ready access to both weapons and illegal drugs, possessing a prohibited drug (methylamphetamine), unlicensed possession of firearms/ammunition, possessing a prohibited weapon and driving contrary to the condition of learners permit.

She is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on May 3.
