Grant gives equipment boost to Armadale Soccer Club

ARMADALE Soccer Club’s 30 teams will enjoy new balls and training equipment thanks to a $1000 grant.

The Stockland CARE Grant funded the first equipment boost for the 46-year-old Forrestdale-based club in a decade.

Fundraising committee member Gary Jones said it would allow them to continue their high-standard of training and dedication into the future.

“We rely on community funding quite a lot to enable us to give our kids the best opportunities possible,” he said.

“It’s great to be able to give our members extra motivation with announcements like this $1,000 funding – everyone was excited to hear the news.

“We are proud to have four national premiership teams and a senior team who are State Cup winners, so our focus is to teach the younger children in our junior metro leagues to have fun and makes friends under the best circumstances possible.”

Stockland WA general manager residential Col Dutton said the CARE Grants program recognised the commitment of community and sporting groups in the local area.

“The people behind the scenes of Armadale Soccer Club support their players and we are pleased to be able to show them support with this funding,” he said.
