Harrisdale: Lotterywest grant for early learning not-for-profit

Jessica NicoComment News

A GRANT of more than $76,000 will help a WA not-for-profit boost the knowledge of early childhood educators in the area.

Education minister Sue Ellery visited Child Australia’s newly built Harrisdale Early Learning Centre on Thursday to hand over the Lotterywest grant, which will be used to encourage educators to attend the Child Australia Early Learning and Development Conference in March.

Ms Ellery said the grant would subsidies transport, accommodation and registration costs for disadvantaged not-for-profit educators wanting to attend the conference.

“The State Government is pleased to be able to support the important work of Child Australia,” she said.
