LIKE a fine wine, some buildings get better with age – now the City of Gosnells wants residents to vote on the most beautiful.

The City wants the community to vote on which historic buildings have aged the most gracefully in a year-long competition to determine the fairest structure of them all.

Residents can choose from a list of buildings on the City’s Heritage Inventory 2016 and entrants could win a one-year membership to the National Trust (WA).

The property owner of the most popular building will win $2000, to be announced at the City’s Australia Day Big Breakfast in 2019.

Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said the competition was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the City’s history.

To see which places are eligible for your vote, check out the Heritage Inventory 2016 on the City’s website and at libraries, before voting using the online form here.

Entries close at 4pm on December 1, 2018.
