Kayla brushes off competition to win top apprentice award

The 20-year-old painting apprentice was named the best third-year apprentice at the ABN Group's apprentice awards last month.

She has learned her trade with the ABN Group as a painter at the Homebuyers Centre.

As there aren't many girls who work alongside Ms Huggins as an apprentice, she said it was always good to stick it to the boys.

"It's a bit difficult sometimes being just around men who don't understand you can do things just as well as them, if not better.
