A KELMSCOTT man has been charged with armed robbery after a hold-up at a service station on Albany Highway.

At about 12.10am on Sunday morning, November 13, a man entered the service station armed with what police believe to be a crowbar and demanded that a staff member hand over cash.

The man left a short time later with some cash and cigarettes.

Public Transport Authority transit officers detained and arrested a 24-year-old man matching the description of the offender at Seaforth train station.
