Kelmscott: Police looking for meat thieves who kicked trolley into pregnant woman

ARMADALE detectives need the public’s help to find two teenagers who stole meat from a shopping centre and kicked a trolley into a pregnant woman who was 15 weeks pregnant at the time.

The incident occurred about 11am on Thursday, December 27 at a store on Albany Highway in Kelmscott.

The pair selected several meat packets in the store and attempted to exit through the checkouts.

As they left through a checkout lane, one kicked a trolley at a pregnant woman (in her 20’s) who was unloading items at the time.

The trolley collided with the woman’s side.

They ran from the store in a southerly direction along Streich Avenue.


The woman was was fifteen weeks pregnant at the time and suffered abdominal pain following the incident.

She was taken to Armadale hospital by St John Ambulance but a police spokesperson said it appears there were no long term injuries.

One teen was described as having brown skin, a slim build and aged in his teens.

He was wearing a khaki baseball cap, a dark blue sleeveless jacket, a black t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

The second was described as having brown skin, a slim build and aged in his teens.

He was wearing a black baseball cap, yellow hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants, black Converse sneakers and was carrying a small black satchel.
