Knife used to threaten woman in Byford

POLICE are seeking to assist with their investigation into a burglary and indecent assault in Byford on Monday, March 14.

Around 12pm, a 46-year-old woman was confronted by a man who had gained entry to her home.

He was armed with a small knife which he used to threaten the woman before forcing her into another room where he indecently assaulted her.

He then fled the home.

The man is described as being aged between 20 to 25 years with fair skin, approximately 183cm tall, of slight build, with short blonde hair and a long fringe.

He was wearing a red and blue horizontal-striped short sleeve shirt with a collar, blue denim jeans and a black belt that had a gold-coloured square buckle.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Warrington Road, Mead Street and Gordin Way around the time of the incident who may have seen the man.
