Ben SmithComment News

IT was another dog day afternoon in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale for the Paws in the Park event last Saturday.

More than 60 dogs and their owners got some much-needed walkies under their belt at Serpentine Oval.

Owners had the chance to chat to Mundijong Vet and Vet Nurses representatives about their four-legged friends’ health and check in with Neighbourhood Watch, Shire Services and the RSPCA about responsible pet ownership.

The event also saw the crowning of three-year-old staffordshire bull terrier-ridgeback cross Krypto as the winner of the Shire’s Paws in the Park competition for receiving the most likes on Facebook.

Krypto edged out stiff competition from Audrey the dachshund and Mate the Aussie cattle dog to take home the prize pack, which included a professional photo shoot with Creative Fleire Photography.
