PIARA Waters and Harrisdale residents could soon have their very own library.

On April 11 Burt MHR Matt Keogh and Jandakot MLA Yaz Mubarakai joined Regional Services, Territories and Local Government opposition spokesperson Stephen Jones at Piara Waters Pavilion to announce a commitment of $2.5m for a public library in the area if Labor wins next month’s Federal election.

If built, it will be the fourth library in the City of Armadale.

Armadale mayor Henry Zelones said it could possibly be located near the Stockland Harrisdale Shopping Centre.
