ARMADALE resident Levi Kissick-Ponga completed almost 3000 burpees to raise money for the Cancer Council WA.

Last Thursday, the 24/7 Power Fitness Maddington gym trainer completed one burpee for every dollar raised, which was at the time $2800, at an event at the gym.

People continued to donate throughout the night and he ended up raising $3500.

It took Mr Kissick-Ponga more than four and a half hours to complete the 2800 burpees.

He said people jumped in along the way and completed the burpees with him.

“About 20 people jumped in throughout the night and did about 6750 burpees,” he said.

“It was cool for people to get behind it and be so supportive.”

Mr Kissick-Ponga will now do the HBF Run for a Reason to continue to raise money for the Cancer Council after several family members were affected by cancer including his brother, aunty and grandfather.
