Locals beat a path to garden launch

There was a Welcome to Country, cultural performance, fire pit lighting, scavenger hunt, native animal petting, children’s activity zone and cooking demonstration by celebrity chef Mark Olive, who made kangaroo stir-fry.

The garden, which has vegetable and herb beds, fruit trees, sensory patch, bush tucker and native plants, was created by locals to promote healthy lifestyles.
