Man (52) charged for lighting fires in Serpentine

ARSON Squad detectives have charged a 52-year-old man from Serpentine following a number of fires in the area on Saturday April 9.

It will be alleged the man deliberately lit several fires along the railway line around 1am and later that morning lit more fires within the Serpentine town site.

The man will face four charges in relation to the fires plus a charge of prohibited drug possession, two charges of cultivating a prohibited plant, and two charges of drug paraphernalia possession.

He is due to appear in Armadale Magistrates Court on July 1.
