A MAN accused of posing as a postman then terrorising a 67-year-old woman and her grandchildren in Forrestfield has been denied bail.

Anandkumar Sivapragasm, 37, allegedly approached his neighbour’s Forrestfield unit on December 19 wearing a motorcycle helmet and brandishing a toy handgun.

Mr Sivapragasm was initially accused of trying to snatch an eight-year-old girl from the unit.

He appeared in Perth Magistrates Court via video link from prison on Thursday charged with offences including aggravated assault and aggravated home burglary.

It was revealed in court that Mr Sivapragasm was allegedly trying to scare the family into keeping to themselves.
