Man suffers horrific injury in attack

DETECTIVES are appealing for information about an attack on a man following an afternoon swim in Perth’s south-east.

A man and a woman in their 20s went to Wungong Dam in Bedfordale for a swim at about 3pm on November 22.

Between 3.30pm and 4pm, they were walking back to their car when they were approached by a group of people in a white SUV.

Two males exited the SUV and threatened the couple, demanding they hand over their personal belongings.

One of the offenders tackled the male victim to the ground, assaulted him and threw rocks at him before grabbing a bag from his neck.

During the incident, the victim received a deep laceration to his leg and burn marks around his neck.

The offenders are described as being about 20 years of age, with dark skin, slim to medium builds, approximately 175cms tall, and black hair.

One was wearing a blue shirt and shorts while the other was not wearing a shirt.
